It’s been a year since Day-1 of deciding to build something on my own.
What started as a vague idea — to help myself and others make better decisions in life — is today taking shape as Eibira (eye-bee-raa).
Eibira is a collection of thinking models shaped by psychology, evolutionary biology, and mindfulness… all working together for embodied cognition (whole-body thinking).
Put simply: if you have a decision to make, Eibira brings clarity by letting you choose the right regret.
If that feels strange, it’s because we’ve been trained, quite vociferously, to avoid regrets. But like it or not, every decision presents a bouquet of them. Choosing one option is also choosing the regret of the path not taken. You’re never escaping regrets; you’re always selecting them… often unconsciously.
Better decisions happen when you pick the right regrets — deliberately.
Eibira helps with that.
…
The last one year has also been a see-saw of learning and unlearning.
On one side, I had so much to learn about how the brain and body work together when thinking happens.
On the other, I had even more to unlearn about how to build a product. This was far harder. AI has upended nearly every assumption about entrepreneurship and product thinking.
…
And 365 days are now gone with no product in the market…
As a bootstrapped founder, that stings.
My choices haven’t made it any easier either:
- Picking an SDD framework over standard SDLC development,
- Choosing a waterfall approach instead of agile,
- Ignoring well-intentioned advice to sell to businesses instead of individuals,
- Leaning heavily on AI for market exploration instead of relying on “real users”,
- Deciding to launch a mostly-usable product instead of a minimal viable one,
- Registering as an LLP instead of a Pvt. Ltd,
- And the killer: “Kya kar raha hai? AI can do everything, including helping people make better decisions!“
I have no way of knowing if these are the right bets.
I hope they are!
And yet… amidst all this uncertainty, every night I go to sleep, I’m eager to wake up the next morning and take Eibira one step further. For now, that is enough.
…
Today, on Day 365, I’m at the last mile of product ideation, knowing clearly what Eibira needs to do, how it will look, and who it is for.
Fingers-crossed as design and development begin.
